People often ask me how I got started in wedding photography. After shooting portraits and events for years in Los Angeles, I had a very good friend of mine ask me to shoot their wedding! Having never photographed a wedding before, I wasn't sure of what to expect but ultimately discovered that being part of such a special time in someone's life and capturing their love was a pure joy and honor. Not only am I a "people person" but I look for the beauty in all things, and have always been a hopeless romantic. It felt like the perfect match and I've been hooked ever since!
My husband Reis and I are a photographer/videographer team. We feel so grateful to be doing something together that we are both so passionate about. One of the things that brought us together as a couple was our shared passion of photography, film, and art. Reis has been making films for years as a hobby on the side and has recently started filming and editing for Korduroy TV. We have combined our passions of photography and film to create a wonderful and unique wedding business offering ourselves as a team to capture your special day! I am the photographer while Reis is the videographer leaving nothing undocumented while catching all the special moments of the day.
Both Reis and I love to travel and have had the privilege of our work taking us to such amazing places as the beautiful Savannah, Georgia, Malibu, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, and even Dubai!
We live in Southern California in an amazing home overlooking the ocean with an incredible 300 square ft. garden, 4 chickens, (Reis tends to ALL of it and I enjoy the "fruits" of his labor) and a dazzling mini doxie pup named Ubuntu that makes us smile every day. No doubt all of these characters will make occasional appearances in our blog.
Our style and philosophy is simple. Contemporary, candid, spontaneous, and fun! Some might call it the "photo journalistic" approach while I just call it capturing the truth. Capturing the truth and essence of making a commitment for a lifetime to someone you love in front of everyone that is important to you. Furthermore, we feel that we offer more than most as a husband /wife team. We are connected, in love, and have a complimentary style and interest in creating our vision for your special day.
Thanks for checking us out.
